Institutional Love

For the eleventh volume of the Freerange Journal, themed 'Institutional Love', I designed the cover, layout, and a series of illustrations interpreting each writer's perspective. Simple black and white line drawings kept the A5 book cohesive, while a set of pastel Risograph posters drawn from the illustrations added contrast and were folded into each journal as a takeaway. It was a challenging and rewarding project, finding ways to translate other people's words into a unified visual language.

International Food Design Conference

For the International Food Design Conference 2016 in Dunedin, we created a Risograph-printed newspaper that evolved across the three-day event. Inspired by the conference theme of 'Human Touch' and the idea of transformation, each day's edition was overprinted onto the last in a new colour. The result was a layered, living publication that grew alongside the conference, capturing its ideas as they built over time.
